Sleeping on public transportation is quite common. I'm not sure how. I certainly can never sleep. I'm too busy giving dirty looks and elbowing people, not to mention collecting my eyes up off the floor because they've fallen out from too much rolling. At any rate, many others enjoy a nice nap during their commute. In fact, I think some photographer in Chicago has a career taking photos with her cell phone of sleeping passengers and then passes them off as deep and inspiring art. Not me. Nope. I see some freak head bobbing and slouching and falling out of her seat, and I need to get a shot for pure comedy.
First, let's look at normal people sleeping on the bus. It can be done in a graceful and inconspicuous way. For instance, check out this nice lady. She's got her shades on. She's sitting upright. You can barely even tell she's sleeping.
Then, look this proper fellow. He's propping himself up and again, his slumbering goes practically unnoticed.
Look a little longer, however, and you find this woman who was sitting upright - for about 2 seconds - but then slowly started to slump and lean forward while still maintaining her balance.
We all began noticing her now as she slowly keeled over. Normally once people keel too far, they wake up startled, right? Not this lady. She complete folded in half and seemed to lapse into a coma.
The weirdest thing was this woman NEVER fully woke up - she perked up ever so often, but ended up back in this same position. Several unsuspecting passengers tried to sit next to her on either side, but eventually moved because they were freaked out or maybe she was drooling on their slacks. I haven't seen anyone this comatose in public since before Lindsay went to rehab.

[c’est top] she should have opened her eyes for two seconds - those horrible crocs would have blinded her instantly.

[this is good] Oh, I love the pics. I mean those shoes are so ugly -- who would go and get them in bright green? Maybe she's a Packer Fan!!

That poor lady, she probably doesn't have anywhere to sleep and you're all laughing at her. Shame on you all.
Although I do have to agree with ThatGuy - I think you've found your calling.

I usually fall asleep on the bus - but like the first lady. Nothing like the bus coma! Though I have heard people snoring or seen people leaning into other people...

She's probably just admiring her shoes.
This reminds me of my ride on the ski bus. I kept dozing off and unintentionally slamming my head into the window, then waking up startled. The kid next to me definitely looked puzzled.
